The best rosary is the one you have with you. A five-decade rosary is a beautiful thing \u2014 but it stays at home. One decade fits in any pocket and is always within reach: in the car, on the train, at the checkout. Wherever you need it most.<\/p>\n

The Terra-Beads<\/h3>\n

The beads feature deep dark-brown stripes on a light brown ground, with occasional flashes of white. They are faceted \u2014 slightly angular \u2014 with edges that are distinctly felt, making the tactile experience a little more intense.<\/p>\n

Porcelain has a quality you feel immediately \u2014 a weight and a surface that feels great in your hand. At 11 mm, the beads are large enough to command attention, and their slightly irregular shape makes every rosary a genuine pleasure to hold. A rosary you won't want to put down.<\/p>\n

The Crucifix<\/h3>\n

The default version comes with the Pardon Crucifix (5.6 \u00d7 3.5 cm) \u2014 one of the most significant crucifixes in the Catholic tradition. Those who prefer a different option can choose from three additional crucifixes. Detailed information on all four crucifixes can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Medal<\/h3>\n

The rosary always comes with a Miraculous Medal \u2014 to me the only logical choice, as the rosary is Our Lady's prayer.<\/p>\n

The default version comes with the extra-large Miraculous Medal (4.5 \u00d7 2.9 cm) \u2014 it matches the crucifix in size and weight and gives you something substantial to hold at the end of the decade. Those who prefer something more understated can choose the large (3.4 \u00d7 2.2 cm) or small medal (2.6 \u00d7 1.7 cm) \u2014 the small corresponds to the standard size of medals.<\/p>\n

The Miraculous Medals can only be supplied already blessed. Please note that according to Church teaching, a blessing ceases upon sale \u2014 the medal should nonetheless be treated with reverence.<\/p>\n

Additional medals are available in the shop. A note: due to the size of the large and extra-large medal, additional medals will clink noticeably loud against it \u2014 something worth keeping in mind.<\/p>\n

The Paracord<\/h3>\n

I prefer paracord over a metal chain \u2014 it looks better, feels better, and comes in a wide range of colors. At 2 mm in diameter, the knots are approximately 7 mm \u2014 large enough to feel, small enough to let the beads stand out. And it is simply more durable than a metal chain, which will eventually kink or snap.<\/p>\n

The Clasp<\/h3>\n

Every rosary comes with a small double carabiner, so you can close it into a circle or attach it somewhere when needed. Its shape \u2014 a figure-eight, the infinity symbol \u2014 is no coincidence: it sits at exactly the point in the rosary where the Gloria is prayed.<\/p>\n
